Vitalija Glovackyte

Vitalija Glovackytė is a Lithuanian composer based in Manchester. Her works span from 1-minute electronic miniatures, solo sets to large scale multimedia works, with her recent project being a 40-minute work for ensemble, choreography, live electronics and visuals. Currently she is working on a new large-scale work for ensemble, lo-fi technology and self-built instruments to be taken on a UK tour in 2016, as part of her 18 month residency with ensemble Apartment House, supported by Sound and Music. Separate from composing, Vitalija is co-founder of Another Contemporary Music Ensemble, a music group working between the boundaries of experimental electronic, visual and contemporary classical mediums which she runs with Michael Cutting.

Vitalija performed at Video Jam at Manchester Art Gallery (17/07/14) - an event responding to Ryan Gander's major exhibition Make Every Show Like It's Your Last - for which she scored animation Don't Want by Joe Whitmore. Listen/download Vitalija's original score here.
